Since I started learning French in high school, I have studied language after language. Some I learn well. Some I just gain a little familiarity with. There’s nothing like the rush of starting a new language!
Being familiar with both goofing off with languages and actually gaining the ability to use them, I offer my thoughts and tips here.

I call it OWT for short. It is small and I think a convenient way
for people who just need that one word translated to get it without
navigating away from your site to do so. I think it’s perfect for
sites that are multilingual or have a multilingual audience, which on
the Internet today is just about everyone’s site.
